The Watford players were left incensed at Wembley when they were denied a penalty for an apparent handball by Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany in Saturday's FA Cup Final.
Following a bright start by Javi Gracia's side at the national stadium, Abdoulaye Doucoure latched on to Roberto Pereyra's lay-off in the box before driving a shot toward goal which appeared to hit Kompany's arm as he blocked the effort.
Despite fierce appeals by Doucoure and his Watford team-mates, referee Kevin Friend decided against awarding Javi Gracia's side a spot-kick and, instead, booked Doucoure.
VAR Andre Marriner reviewed the incident, but it wasn't deemed worthy of a second look from man in the middle Friend.
The appeals came just five minutes before City took the lead through David Silva, whose half-volley from Raheem Sterling's headed pass handed Pep Guardiola's side the advantage in the 26th minute.
Gabriel Jesus then double City's lead before the break as Guardiola's men threatened to move out of sight before the interval.
