Vincent Kompany revealed he is 'buzzing' about Manchester City's success this season as he sent his congratulations to the club.
City have already enjoyed a brilliant campaign having lifted the Carabao Cup and romped their way to a fifth Premier League title, a triumph that seemed highly unlikely after the Blues endured a tough start to the season.
It could be made even better on Saturday, May 29, as City will compete against rivals Chelsea in their first-ever Champions League final, having vanquished Paris Saint-Germain in the semis.
City hero Kompany departed the club in 2019 after his thunderous striker against Leicester City all but secured the club their last league title in 2019.
The former captain, who now manages Belgian side Anderlecht, has taken some time out of his busy schedule to send City his congratulations.
"Hiya everyone, I haven't had the time to communicate or post or do anything like this, I've been preparing the games I've had to play here with Anderlecht, so it's been a busy time," he said in a video message posted on Twitter.
"But I just wanted to say one thing, congratulations Man City! Winning the league, Champions League final, I can't state how much I'm happy, how much I'm buzzing.
"Players, people that I know at the club, fans, you know people that I love, hopefully, we'll experience something magical and I'm just happy for everyone.
"I haven't had the time to do much, say much, talk to many people and that's because I'm working hard to be successful here but I just want to pass my love and just say... Ciiiiitty!"
