Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany says the current squad is as talented as the team that won the club's first Premier League title in 2012.
Kompany was captain as City won the league on goal difference in 2012 ahead of Manchester United, and he has also led his side to league titles in 2014 and 2018.
Last season, City broke a number of Premier League records on their way to a dominant title, and Pep Guardiola's side are searching for a fourth title in eight years this season.
They will become the first team in ten years to reclaim the Premier League, and City know if they win all their remaining games they will pip Liverpool to the title.
And when asked if the current City squad and manager is the best he has played under, Kompany said: "Best manager, no doubt. He’s one of a kind. He’s as strong as I can imagine the manager to be.

"In terms of team and talents, no, [they’re] equal."
Explaining his choice, he said: "We’ve had incredibly talented teams, first time around when we won the title. I mean just to name a few... The frontline was Tevez, Balotelli, Dzeko, Aguero.
"We’ve always had very talented teams but what we have now is also personalities that kind of suit the manager’s ambition in terms of, you know you’ve got talented players that are going to run and run fast.
"And you’ve got talented players who are studying the tactics that we need to apply for every game and prepare and to do the extra preparation. That’s what makes the difference today."
