Vince Vaughn is on the trail of a buyer for his La Canada Flintridge house

Aug. 04--Actor Vince Vaughn, star of the HBO crime series "True Detective," is ready to part with one of his Los Angeles-area houses. He just put his La Ca񡤡 Flintridge property on the market at $5.299 million.

The newer Colonial-style home, built in 2000, sits behind gates on a majestic three-quarters of an acre with mature trees, expanses of lawn, a swimming pool and a sports court.

The neoclassical home opens to a grand entry and staircase. A living room with a fireplace, a formal dining room, a wood-paneled library, an office, five bedrooms and six bathrooms are within the mostly white-walled 5,563 square feet of living space.

The roomy kitchen features a butler's pantry, a center island, a breakfast area and two dishwashers. The family room opens to a brick-covered patio.

There's a three-car garage.

Vaughn bought the property two years ago for $3.925 million. He owns other residential properties in Los Angeles, Manhattan Beach and Chicago.

The 45-year-old has starred in such movies as "Unfinished Business" (2015), "Wedding Crashers" (2005) and "Swingers" (1996).

Christine Navarro of Partners Trust is the listing agent.
