Aug. 17--Actor Vince Vaughn has found a buyer for his three-bedroom town home in River North, which he listed in May for $1.475 million.
If Vaughn ever lived in the 4,063-square-foot town home, it only was briefly after he bought it in 2005 for $1.43 million. He paid $12 million in 2006 for his five-bedroom 12,000-square-foot triplex penthouse atop the Palmolive building on North Michigan Avenue. The Lake Forest native also has long tried to sell the penthouse, which he now has listed for $13.9 million after once seeking a whopping $24.7 million for it.
On Friday, Vaughn signed a contract to sell the town home. The transaction awaits a buyer's contingency, according to listing information. Built in 2002, the River North town home has three full baths, two half baths, a fireplace, a custom-designed home theater that seats seven, hardwood floors throughout, four flat-screen TVs, surround sound, a rooftop terrace with city views, a master bath with a steam shower and a three-car garage.
Vaughn also owns several Los Angeles-area homes. He paid $6.447 million in February 2014 through his ALB Trust to buy a 7,308-square-foot house in Manhattan Beach from former USC head football coach Lane Kiffin, while in July 2014 he paid $2.375 million through his Desert Retreat LLC to buy a 2,890-square-foot house in the Hollywood Hills from actress Kate Bosworth.
Vaughn previously paid $3.9 million in 2013 for a five-bedroom 5,563-square-foot Colonial-style house in La Canada Flintridge, an L.A. suburb. Earlier this month, he listed that home for $5.3 million, as the Los Angeles Times reported.
