Vin Diesel responds to claims he's developed a 'dadbod' by Instagramming his six-pack

Vin Diesel is busy promoting his new film, Last Witch Hunter, but he’s also had to do a bit of publicity for his metabolism after a US tabloid published photos of his ‘dad bod’.

The actor, known for his role in the Fast & The Furious films, countered the claims he had let himself go by posting a photo of his abs to Instagram.

But first he posted a fully-clothed photo, saying he was surprised how much the question of his physique had come up while he was doing press for his new movie.

“I am wondering if I should show the picture,” he said in a caption. “Body-shaming is always wrong!

What do you think?”

The next photo showed Diesel pulling his t-shirt up and revealling that he does not, in fact, have a dad bod.

The 'dadbod phenomenon' was a trend that began earlier this year after a piece in US magazine The Cut praised men who preferred the company of pizza over protein powder.

While some have argued the term highlights the sexist double standards towards men and women, a number of celebrities who might have been considered a bit lazy are now heralded as heroic for not focusing on their physique.

Diesel dedicated his photo to “those who wanted the show… For all the angels that love dad bod regardless…”

So that’s cleared that up then. Vin Diesel = no dadbod.
