Villarreal star Arnaut Danjuma is 'confident' his side can produce another upset when they face Manchester United in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
United are looking for their first points in Europe this season after they fell to an unexpected 2-1 defeat against BSC Young Boys in their opening Group F fixture but face a Villarreal side they have never beaten.
The two sides have met five times in total, drawing on every occasion, although the Spanish side prevailed on penalties when they last met in the Europa League Final back in May.
United's shock defeat in the final means they are still yet to win any silverware under manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Danjuma believes their last meeting could add an extra edge to the clash in midweek.
The Dutch winger has three goals in six appearances since joining the Spanish side from Bournemouth in the summer transfer window and he is confident of his new teammates causing another upset this time around.
“I’m really confident in our team," he told BT Sport. "I’ll back myself and I’ll back my team. We beat them in the Europa League final so I think they might take it a bit personal.”
“I’m confident that we’ve done it once, we’ll do it twice”.
