A village community has come together following the tragic death of a teenage boy whose body was found in woodland after he went missing.
Residents in Skirlaugh, East Yorkshire, are mourning the loss of 15-year-old Scott Smith with tributes being paid to him on social media and a special church service being held in his memory.
The teenager was reported missing on Thursday and after a police search his body was discovered on Saturday afternoon, Hull Live reports.
On Sunday villagers paid their respects to Scott at St Augustine’s church where they lit candles and prayed.
Reverend Andy Simpson said: "We had a very full church service this morning for Scott, for visitors to pay their respects after a message was sent out for people to join us in a special service.

“It is still too soon to say anything, as this community is hurting, but what I will say there was very much an outpouring of love for this young man.”
Scott's death is not being treated as suspicious.
