Vile woman 'throws acid' at three young girls working at popular Tallaght takeaway The One Asian Kitchen

A woman is being quizzed by gardai after a suspected acid attack in a Dublin takeaway shop last night.

Earlier, we reported how three girls had to be rushed to hospital following the horror attack at The One Asian Kitchen at the Square in Tallaght.

The incident happened at around 8pm last night, when a woman said to be in her 30s came into the popular fast food joint and allegedly threw what has been described as an "acidic" substance at the young girls working there.

Two of the three young women - all aged in their teens and early 20s - have since been discharged, gardai revealed this evening. However, one girl is still being treated for her injuries.

A Garda spokesperson said in a statement: Gardaí in Tallaght are investigating a serious assault that occurred at a takeaway shop in The Square Tallaght, yesterday evening Sunday 14th December, 2020 at approximately 8p.m.

"One woman (early 30s) walked into the shop and threw a substance at a number of woman behind the counter.

"All women (late teens and early 20s) were taken to Tallaght University Hospital and one woman remains in hospital at this time, the other two woman have been discharged."

A woman in her early 30s was arrested last night at around 10pm, gardai said, adding that investigations are ongoing.

She is being quizzed at Tallaght Garda Station where she is being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

The popular takeaway remains closed following the attack as its owners seek to boost security.

However, they said this evening that they would reimburse all those who had made orders prior to the incident.

They added: "For those dear customers who paid but did not receive their order last night, a refund will be issued to you by the original payment methods."
