Vile thug throws volley of punches at driver who 'asked him to turn down music' on Leeds bus

This sickening video shows a passenger attacking an off-duty bus driver in Leeds - who asked him to turn his music down.

Shocking footage shows a man repeatedly hitting the driver - who is wearing a high visibility jacket - on the top deck of a moving bus.

The incident - believed to have happened on the top deck of a First Bus has drawn widespread disgust on social media, reports the Daily Mirror.

The clip starts by showing a man repeatedly punching the driver on the back of the head.

The attacker appears to say: “You think you’re f  ******   big, don’t you?”

Stunned passengers can be heard wailing as the violence continues.

The man wearing the black top then appears to claw at the bus driver’s face.

An onlooker is heard saying: “what the f***.”

The man wearing black then shouts at the bus driver “f*** off!” before punching him across the face twice.

However, the bus driver manages to grab the man’s wrists and momentarily detains him.

The struggle continues for sometime as the pair appear to squash another passenger into his seat.

A battered and bruised bus driver then grabs the attacker by the head and appears to mutter a few words at the man.

Police are asking for help to try and identify the attacker.

A statement read: "Police are investigating an assault, which happened on a bus on Wellington Road, Leeds on 18 September at 13.50.

"A man in his 50s was assaulted and left with minor injuries.

"The offender made off from the scene. Police are following positive lines of enquiries.
