A sex offender has been sentenced to 23 years for a series of horrific crimes involving young girls.
David McMurtry encouraged the schoolgirls to engage in indecent activity and sexually assaulted them.
A stash of indecent images of children was also found during the police investigation into the vile criminal.
McMurtry was convicted of four sexual assaults and six counts of causing or inciting a girl to engage in sexual activity.
His victims were all under the age of 13.
The 49-year-old was also charged with three counts relating to indecent images of children.
McMurtry, of William Johnson Gardens in Ellesmere Port , was handed a 23 year sentence at Chester Crown Court on Thursday.
He was also given an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order and ordered to sign the Sex Offenders Register.
