'Vile' I'm A Celebrity trial leaves viewers gagging and rushing to turn volume down

I'm A Celebrity viewers were left rushing to turn the volume down as the show aired quite possibly it's grossest trial to date with revolting results.

While millions of people were glued to their screens to watch it on Wednesday night, in reality the Sickening Stalls challenge was recorded on Tuesday and, the minute they'd watched Shane Richie and Jessica Plummer put through their paces, hosts Ant and Dec took to Instagram to tell people it was a good one.

They also warned people to make sure they had their tea before they watched and that proved to be very sound advice indeed as we saw the former EastEnders stars down all manner of horrific concoctions as they had to visit a number of different bars.

First up was Rancid Refreshments which saw Shane down Eggs-Spresso - blended fermented duck eggs. - before Jessica necked Eyes’d Coffee - blended fish eyes - which she finished but then let out a huge burp after doing so.

Shane’s next drink was Gore Berry Smoothie, blended sheep’s testicle, while Jessica's second less than appetising bevvie was Avaca-Toe Smoothie, blended chicken feet, which she gagged on as she downed.

The torture didn't end there though with the Terrifying Tipples stand forcing beverages like Zin Fanny Del - blended pig’s vagina; Pro-Sicko - vomit fruit, before third and final stand Brutal Broth saw Shane drink Ass Pachio - blended sheeps’ anus and Jessica’s neck Knob Ster Bisque – blended goat’s penis.

The pair managed to get all 12 stars to take back to the castle and Ant told them: "Well done on completing the noisiest Trial we’ve ever had.”

And it was the amount of retching and gagging that had I'm A Celebrity viewers grabbing their remotes to make it stop. One tweeted: "I might have to turn the volume down this is making me gip," and another reacted: "Brutal....volume turned off" next to a whole host of vomit emojis."

A third posted: "I can't actually watch this trial for gagging & it's not any better with just the audio."

Right before Wednesday's show was due to air, Ant and Dec took to Instagram to reveal bosses had made the decision to extend it to make sure they could show all of the trial.
