One of Emmerdale's darkest ever plots will air tonight as DI Malone shows his truly ugly side by attempting to push Dawn to kill herself.
Dawn Taylor, played by Olivia Bromley, managed to overcome her drug addiction in order to get custody of her son Lucas.
However, Dawn has got herself into real danger after reporting DI Malone to the police after discovering his secret affair with Harriet behind Will's back.
DI Malone was furious and kidnapped Dawn - but a nasty twist is in store tonight as he plans to seduce her into relapsing on heroin.
This evening, Malone initially attempts to intimidate Dawn by telling her that her testimony was taken as false.
Dawn tries her best to act unaffected, but Malone pulls out a wrap of heroin and a syringe from his pocket and places them on the table.
She backs away in horror as he pulls a gun on her and cowers away from the detective.
As Dawn breaks down in tears, Malone tries to get her to take her own life by overdosing on heroin.
Before Dawn is tempted by what is in front of her, someone comes to Dawn's rescue and Malone is sprawled across the floor.
