Vikings WR Laquon Treadwell set a career-high in yards vs. Chiefs

The bar wasn’t exactly high, but Vikings wide receiver Laquon Treadwell had himself a career day against the Chiefs on Sunday, catching three passes for a career-high 58 yards.

Prior to that, his previous high was 51 yards back in 2017 against the Packers.

It’s been a weird year for the 2016 first-round pick.

Treadwell didn’t make the team’s 53-man roster, but was brought back after injuries to Josh Doctson and Chad Beebe hit the team.

On the season, Treadwell has five catches for 74 yards.

Treadwell could prove to be an important player (mostly out of necessity) once again next week when the Vikings travel to play the Cowboys in Dallas, depending on the status of Adam Thielen. Thielen played in Sunday’s game against the Chiefs, but exited in the first quarter after re-aggravating the hamstring injury that kept him out of Week 8.
