Vikings WR Josh Doctson returns from injured reserve

The Vikings will be getting some depth at wide receiver.

Wide receiver Josh Doctson, who signed with the Vikings prior ot the season after being cut by the Redskins, was designated from the injured reserved list on Wednesday. Doctson was dealing with a hamstring injury.

Doctson was the 22nd-overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft by the Redskins. He never really found his rhythm in Washington. Last season, he caught 44 passes for 532 yards and two touchdowns.

The Vikings will have to make a corresponding move this week if they plan on keeping Doctson.

Minnesota is expected to have Adam Thielen (hamstring) back in Week 9 against the Chiefs. But after Thielen and Stefon Diggs, the Vikings could use some depth at receiver.
