Vikings WR Jordan Taylor is pain free after double hip surgery

One name you’ve heard a lot of throughout Vikings offseason is Jordan Taylor.

Taylor is competing for the team’s third wide receiver spot, despite missing all of the 2018 season after a double hip surgery.

After a year off and rehabbing, Taylor is back.

“I’m back out here and just trying to make the most of it,” Taylor said via the Pioneer Press. “I’m just ready to give it everything I’ve got. I’m pain free, and that’s the biggest thing. I don’t know if I’m quite as explosive as I was a couple of seasons ago. That’s what training camp is for. Just need to get back in shape and get used to going up against guys again.”

Taylor, 27, caught a combined 29 passes for 351 yards and two touchdowns in 2017 and 2018 with the Broncos. At 6’5, he’s a big target for quarterback Kirk Cousins.

It will be interesting to see how Taylor looks throughout training camp, and how the WR3 battle shakes out. The three names in the lead for the spot are Taylor, Chad Beebe and Laquon Treadwell.
