After landing on the IR with torn ligaments in his ankle, Vikings wide receiver Chad Beebe will be out for the next eight weeks.
Vikings coach Mike Zimmer said on Wednesday that the team thinks Beebe will be able to return to the field after that.
“Yeah, he should be,” Zimmer said.
To fill Beebe’s spot at wide receiver, the Vikings brought back former first-round pick Laquon Treadwell, who didn’t make the team’s 53-man roster to open the season.
To fill Beebe’s spot at punt returner, the Vikings signed Marcus Sherels. Sherels spent 2010-18 with the Vikings, but Sherels signed with the Saints this offseason.
