Vikings WR Chad Beebe needs to prove he can stay healthy

Vikings second-year wide receiver Chad Beebe finds himself in competition for the No. 3 wide receiver spot on the team behind Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen.

How can Beebe prove himself the most?

Jut by staying on the field.

“His issue has been his health, quite honestly,” Vikings coach Mike Zimmer said Sunday. “He needs to stay healthy and prove that he can stay healthy.”

Beebe is listed at 5’10, 183 pounds. He’s certainly not the biggest receiver which probably plays into some of his injuries.

Last season as an undrafted free agent, Beebe impressed in preseason and that led to him appearing in three games for the team.

We’ll see if he can win the No. 3 spot. By all accounts, it sounds like Beebe has had a very good offseason. But if he can’t stay healthy during training camp and preseason, it’s hard to make a case for him winning that spot.

It’s hard to depend on a player who’s not on the field.
