Vikings WR Adam Thielen limited on Wednesday as team prepares for Chiefs

After missing Week 8 against the Redskins with a hamstring injury, Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen was listed as limited on the team’s injury report on Wednesday.

Thielen suffered the injury in Week 7 against the Lions on a touchdown catch.

Only two other players were listed on the report. Defensive tackles Linval Joseph and Shamar Stephen were both limited with knee injuries.

The Vikings would love to have Thielen back in Week 9 against the Chiefs in Kansas City. Vikings coach Mike Zimmer sounded optimistic about Thielen’s return after Thursday’s win over the Redskins.

Thielen has made the Pro Bowl in each of the last two seasons. In seven games this season, Thielen has 27 catches for 391 yards and a league-leading six touchdowns.

Wide receiver Josh Doctson (hamstring) is also eligible ro return in Week 9. We’ll see if he’s active.
