Vikings WR Adam Thielen suffered an ankle injury in Week 13 against the Lions.
Thielen was out in Weeks 14 and 15. In Week 16, the Minnesota wideout ended up starting the game. But his playing status is up in the air as of the first half.
Thielen tried to pick up a first down late in the second quarter. He was wrapped up and looked to be in pain after making the reception. He took his helmet off and left the field.
Vikings communications reported that Thielen is now questionable to return with an ankle injury. Thielen had a team-high 34 receiving yards before leaving the game. Without Thielen, the Rams can hone in on WR Justin Jefferson more. That includes putting CB Jalen Ramsey on Jefferson as often as possible.
WRs K.J. Osborn, Dede Westbrook and others can step up in the absence of Thielen. But Vikings fans should hope Thielen returns. At the time this article was published, the Rams led the Vikings 13-3.
