Vikings will know Friday if CB Mike Hughes can play vs. Raiders

One thing the Vikings could use right about now is cornerback depth.

There’s a chance they’ll get that on Sunday against the Raiders in the form of second-year cornerback Mike Hughes.

Hughes tore his ACL in Week 6 of his rookie season and has missed the first two weeks of the 2019 season. He has, however, practiced on Wednesday and Thursday as the team preps to face off against the Raiders.

Per Chris Tomasson, the Vikings should find out from the doctors if Hughes can play on Sunday at U.S. Bank Stadium.

The Vikings are without Holton Hill (suspension) and will likely be without Mackensie Alexender, who dislocated his elbow in Week 1 against the Falcons.

Hughes will probably be on a snap count, but his availability would be a huge positive for this Vikings defense.
