Vikings waive CB Terrence Alexander to make way for Bené Benwikere

Earlier on Saturday, it was reported that the Vikings had signed veteran cornerback Bené Benwikere.

You can read more about that here.

The move became official on Saturday afternoon. To make room for Benwikere, the Vikings released fellow cornerback Terrence Alexander.

The Vikings signed Alexander to an udrafted free-agent deal after Alexander played his final season in college at LSU.

We’ll see if Alexander hops on with another team in the next few days.

The Vikings signed Benwikere with Holton Hill suspended for the first eight games of the 2019 season.

They also worked out Orlando Scandrick and Morris Claiborne.
