Vikings traded No. 105 pick in NFL Draft to Saints

Minnesota traded back in the first round with the 49ers, but that didn’t stop the Vikings from trading back once again the next day.

In exchange for the 105th pick in the draft, Minnesota received the 130th, 169th, 203rd and the 244th picks from New Orleans, according to ESPN’s Field Yates. Overall, I like the move because the Vikings had options with two third-round draft choices.

The Saints selected Dayton tight end Adam Trautman with the pick they received from the Vikings.

This makes it so Minnesota can acquire more talent later on in the draft, after the Vikings have already shored up needs at wide receiver, cornerback and offensive tackle.

With its other third round pick in the draft, the Vikings selected Mississippi State corner Cameron Dantzler, who was the second cornerback taken by the Vikings in the draft. The first was TCU’s Jeff Gladney. Minnesota took Gladney No. 31 overall, after dealing the No. 25 pick in order to trade back in the draft.
