As for the Vikings, their pick didn’t come as much of a surprise. With the 18th-overall pick, Easterling has the Vikings taking Kansas State offensive tackle Dalton Risner.
Here’s what Easterling wrote about the pick:
This team has some dangerous offensive weapons and a capable quarterback, but the protection has to improve across the board. Risner’s experience and polish should make him an instant-impact player at the next level, and his versatility would make him an upgrade at multiple spots
Risner has been linked to the Vikings more than once and it’s a pick that Vikings fans should be happy with considering the team’s struggles on the offensive line last season.
Risner is a consensus top-5 offensive lineman, so this would be a big get for the Vikings.
