Vikings take Laremy Tunsil in 2016 re-draft

We can all agree that the Vikings missed on their 2016 draft pick at No. 23 overall, selecting wide receiver Laquon Treadwell.

The folks over at NFL.com put together a re-draft and spoiler alert(!), the Vikings did not take Treadwell.

The Vikings took offensive lineman Laremy Tunsil, who was originally drafted 13th overall by the Dolphins.

Here’s what was written about the pick:

Tunsil can play guard or tackle, but he certainly would have provided immediate competition for Matt Kalil at left tackle.

With the Vikings being pretty bad on the offensive line over the last few years, Tunsil would have been a welcomed addition, especially when you consider what a disappointment Treadwell has been.

Tunsil ranked as the league’s 36th tackle per Pro Football Focus in 2019.

While Tunsil would be an added addition, this pick is more about Treadwell, who hasn’t contributed anything to the Vikings in his three seasons.

If only they would have selected Michael Thomas.
