Lance Zierlein of NFL.com put together his first mock draft of 2019.
No surprise, the Vikings are taking an offensive line with the 18th overall pick.
Zierlein has the Vikings selecting guard Cody Ford of Oklahoma with the pick.
Here’s what Zierlein wrote about the pick:
Ford has upside as a tackle, but his technique is still a work in progress. As a guard, he could step right into the starting lineup and upgrade the pass protection.
As I’ve written before, right now, mock drafts are less about the players than they are about positions. With every mock draft, you might get different names, but you’ll get the same position group: offensive line.
Our Luke Easterling has Ford going 11th overall in his mock draft, so it would seem getting him at 18 would certainly be a steal.
