Vikings take Alabama offensive tackle in mock draft

It’s no secret that the Vikings need offensive line help to protect Kirk Cousins and open up the run game.

Most mock drafts have the Vikings addressing the offensive line with their first-round pick (18th overall).

Peter Schrager from NFL.com is no different.

Schrager has the Vikings taking Alabama offensive tackle Jonah Williams with the pick.

Here’s what he wrote about it:

The Vikings will address the offensive line in the draft (likely multiple times) and in free agency. Williams is considered “undersized” at 302 pounds, but has wonderful technique. He’d be an immediate starter in Minnesota.

The junior should be an instant starter for the Vikings, something that is needed. He looks up to Joe Thomas, which is certainly a great person to look up to.

Some consider Williams to be a top-10 pick, so him falling to 18 would be an absolute steal. In Luke Easterling’s latest mock at Draft Wire, he has Williams going sixth overall to the Giants.
