Vikings starting right tackle Brian O’Neill has missed a big chunk of training camp, and the team’s first game against the Saints, with a right arm injury.
He was one of three Vikings held out of Friday’s practice, including fellow tackle Aviante Collins and defensive end Ade Aruna, via Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press.
With the Vikings just two days away from their second preseason game against the Seahawks, it feels unlikely any of these players would play on Sunday.
As far as the bigger picture goes, you have to be somewhat concerned about O’Neill. The offensive line was such a wart for this team last season, but as a rookie, O’Neill was actually a bright spot.
Something to keep an eye on over the next three weeks.
