Vikings suspending travel for coaches, scouts due to the coronavirus

The coronavirus has spread across the United States, and other parts of the world. It has affected the sports world, too.

The NBA has suspended its season. The PGA Tour will not allow fans, according to multiple reports.

And now, the Minnesota Vikings are responding to the disease. The team said in a statement that it is suspending travel for coaches and scouts until further notice. They are also reviewing restrictions on large public gatherings.

The team released an official statement regarding the coronavirus.

You can read this statement here:

“We continue to closely monitor coronavirus developments and maintain contact with the NFL, health officials and other local professional teams. Consistent with guidance issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, we have implemented precautionary procedures to protect staff and reduce the risk of acquisition and transmission inside TCO Performance Center.”

The statement went on to say that the team would emphasize preventative measures such as “washing, enhancing environmental disinfection and preparing for remote work protocols, if necessary.”
