Most experts thought the Vikings did a very nice job in the 2019 NFL Draft.
The folks over at USA TODAY (who make this blog possible!) agree. In Nate Davis’ post-draft power rankings, he has the Vikings fifth, first among NFC North teams.
Here’s what Davis wrote about the Vikings:
If any team is positioned for a major rebound, it’s this one. With offensive line and run game improved, QB Kirk Cousins and No. 1 defense from 2017 should be far more effective.
By drafting Garrett Bradbury in the first round and Irv Smith Jr. in the second, the Vikings are going all in on the success of this offense with most of the defensive starters returning.
To round out the NFC North, the Packers rank 11th, the Bears rank 13th and the Lions rank 28th.
It’s hard to see this team finish with an 8-7-1 record again. If the team can avoid major injuries, this should be a playoff team in 2019.
