As expected, the Vikings announced on Thursday that they have signed wide receiver Davion Davis from the practice squad.
With Adam Thielen out with a hamstring injury for Thursday night’s game against the Redskins, the team needed some depth at receiver with only Stefon Diggs, Bisi Johnson and Laquon Treadwell healthy.
Chances are we won’t see Davis in any high-pressure situations, but just for insurance in case someone else were to get injured.
The Vikings cleared room for Davis on the roster by releasing punt returner Marcus Sherels.
