With linebacker Ben Gedeon out in Week 6 with a concussion, the Vikings have signed linebacker Cameron Smith from the practice squad.
With the move, the Vikings have released wide receiver Davion Davis.
Smith was a fifth-round pick by the Vikings in the 2019 NFL Draft out of USC, but failed to make the team’s final 53-man roster.
It’s unlikely Smith gets much run apart of special teams play.
Eric Wilson will likely start for Gedeon.
