Vikings sign CB Nate Meadors to active roster from practice squad

On Thursday, the Vikings placed wide receiver Josh Doctson on the IR with a leg injury.

To fill Doctson’s place on the active roster, the Vikings promoted rookie cornerback Nate Meadors from the practice squad to the active roster.

Meadors played college ball at UCLA.

This is probably somewhat of a sign on what cornerback Mackensie Alexander’s availability will be on Sunday against the Packers. Alexander has missed two days of practice this week with a dislocated elbow.

Filling Meadors’ spot on the practice squad will be wide receiver Alexander Hollins, who we saw in preseason with the club.

With the Vikings electing to fill Doctson’s spot with a cornerback, they have just four receivers on the active roster – Adam Thielen, Stefon Diggs, Chad Beebe and Bisi Johnson.
