It’s been a busy little Tuesday for the Vikings.
After reports earlier surfaced that the team was bringing back wide receiver Laquon Treadwell, the team also announced they are also bringing back punt returner Marcus Sherels, who has released by the Saints before the season started.
With that, the Vikings have place wide receiver Chad Beebe (ankle) on the IR and released linebacker Devante Downs.
Sherels spent 2010-18 with the Vikings and returned a franchise-record five punts for touchdowns during his time with the team.
He signed with the Saints this offseason, but was released with an injury settlement after suffering a hamstring injury. It would appear as if he’s healthy and we’ll see him on Sunday in Chicago against the Bears.
