Vikings should be interested in Cole Beasley

The Vikings have a great one-two receiving punch with Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs.

But after that, there’s a bit of a void.

Laquon Treadwell was supposed to be the answer, but well, I think we can all agree that’s not going to work.

Minnesota needs a third option at receiver. That option could be Cole Beasley.

The former Cowboys wide receiver is set to be a free agent. At 29, he’s still young enough to be productve and his numbers indicate that.

Last season, he finished with 65 catches for 672 yards and three touchdowns.

For the Vikings, it feels like he’d be a perfect fit in the slot. Beasley has been the closest to consistency the Cowboys have had at receiver over the last five seasons.

The Vikings are cap strapped with $5.8 million available for next season before any cap casualaties. But Beasley won’t be a player who will receive a lot of attention on the free-agency market and should be somewhat of a bargain.

We’ve discussed Aldrick Robinson as well, but Beasley seems like a higher-upside player.
