Vikings search for offensive linemen at the combine continues

The Vikings have already met with first-round hopeful Dalton Risner from Kansas State.

We can add two other names to the list, although not as flashy, per Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press.

Per Tomasson, the Vikings have showed interest in Arkansas offensive lineman Hjalte Froholdt along with Charlotte’s Nate Davis.

Of the two, Davis (6’3, 306 pounds) has the higher upside but is still considered a Day 2 or Day 3 pick. He projects more as a guard who could start in season two or three.

As for Froholdt (6’5, 305 pounds), he’s raw and is going to be a bit more of a project. NFL.com grades him as an NFL backup or special teams player. His size is what has scouts excited.

These players are important, too. One weakness with Minnesota’s offensive line has been its lack of depth. While these players might not be picked in the top-four rounds, they are still players we could see drafted with the team’s late-round picks.
