Vikings request interviews with 2 current, 1 former Browns execs

The Cleveland Browns could lose some pieces to their organization this offseason. Success tends to lead to others poaching from a team and, while the Browns didn’t make the playoff in 2021, their front office and coaching staff have done a very good job.

Earlier we learned that Jeremy Garrett would be leaving the team to take over the defensive line at Liberty University. We also learned that two front office personnel were requested for interviews by the Chicago Bears.

Now comes word that those same two executives are being requested for interviews by the Bears division rival, the Minnesota Vikings.

According to multiple reports, the Vikings have requested interviews with Kwesi Adofo-Mensah and Glenn Cook from Cleveland. They have also requested to interview former Browns front office member Eliot Wolf. Wolf now works for the New England Patriots.

Adofo-Mensah has been regarded as a sleeper name for this hiring cycle but Cook’s inclusion with two teams may be more surprising.

Wolf was with Cleveland under John Dorsey after starting his career with his father, Ron Wolf, in Green Bay.

If either executive gets hired as a general manager this year, the team will receive compensatory picks at the end of the third round in 2022 and 2023. While losing talented front office members is difficult, adding day two picks in the NFL draft is always helpful.

With two requests already in, it would not be surprising to see either Adofo-Mensah or Cook get even more interviews this offseason.
