Vikings remain 7th in USA TODAY power rankings

The Vikings improved to 10-4 on the season with their win over the Chargers in Week 15.

The road win was an impressive one, especially for Minnesota’s defense.

Despite the win, the Vikings remain seventh in USA TODAY’s weekly power rankings.

The Vikings will be tested in Week 16 at home against the Packers on Monday Night Football. The Packers are the sixth-ranked team in the rankings with an 11-3 record.

A win would guarantee a trip to the playoffs for the Vikings, as would a Rams loss to the 49ers. If the Vikings win out against the Packers and Bears, and the Packers fall to the Vikings and Lions, Minnesota will win the NFC North.

To round out the NFC North, the Bears rank 17th and the Lions rank 31st.
