Vikings release former University of Minnesota CB Jalen Myrick

The Vikings made some local news on Thursday, releasing cornerback Jalen Myrick.

Myrick was a seventh-round pick of the Jaguars in 2017 and played in five games with them that season.

He spent last season on and off Minnesota’s practice squad.

Myrick, a Georgia native, played his college ball at the University of Minnesota from 2013-16.

This comes after the Vikings signed a slew of defensive players from the AAF.

Myrick was set to make $570,000 on a futures deal with the Vikings. Minnesota cut him with no penalty.
