Vikings receive A grade for 2019 NFL Draft

Most experts agree. The Vikings did a solid job in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Chad Reuter from NFL.com gave the Vikings an A grade for their efforts.

The Vikings ended the draft with:

C Garrett Bradbury (18th overall)
TE Irv Smith Jr. (50)
RB Alexander Mattison (102)
G Dru Samia (114)
LB Cameron Smith (162)
DT Armon Watts (190)
S Marcus Epps (191)
OT Oli Udoh (193)
CB Kris Boyd (217)
WR Dillon Mitchell (239)
WR Olabisi Johnson (247)
LS Austin Cutting (250)

Obviously, the picks that stick out the most are the ones at the top. Everyone agreed that Bradbury was a near-perfect pick for a team desperately needing help on the offensive line. Smith was a great pick with Kyle Rudolph entering the last year of his contract. As for Mattison, you can debate that pick, but it certainly was a position of need.

Then you look at the end of the draft and the Vikings are hoping they can get lucky with either Mitchell or Johnson, and Boyd might just end up being the steal of the draft for them.

It all needs to play out, of course, but on paper, it looks like the Vikings did a fine job.
