Vikings RB Dalvin Cook to have MRI tomorrow

Vikings RB Dalvin Cook was carted off the field on Sunday. Cook suffered a shoulder dislocation during the game, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Cook will undergo an MRI tomorrow to determine the damage, per Rapoport. Vikings coach Mike Zimmer corroborated the report that Cook will undergo an MRI.

The Vikings have a very capable backup running back in Alexander Mattison. Beyond that, Minnesota has Kene Nwangwu as another running back on the active roster. Vikings RB A.J. Rose Jr. is an enticing option as a reserve.

Nwangwu had a kickoff return in Week 12 But based on how often Minnesota runs the ball, the team would be missing out on a big part of its offense. The Vikings will find out more on Monday.

Cook has 734 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns. Minnesota dropped to 5-6 with the defeat. San Francisco moved to 6-5.
