The feel-good story for the 2019 season has been the fact that Dalvin Cook has been able to stay healthy.
That changed on Sunday against the Chargers in Los Angeles. In the third quarter, Cook went down and hurt his right shoulder. He was immediately ruled out.
Two weeks ago against the Seahawks, Cook appeared to have had the same type of injury. He didn’t return in that one, either.
Cook has eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark for the first time this season and has 13 rushing touchdowns.
The Vikings are already without Alexander Mattison (ankle). We’ll see Mike Boone and Ameer Abdullah at running back for the rest of Week 15. We’ll see if Cook will be ready in Week 16 against the Packers in Minneapolis.
