Vikings RB Dalvin Cook is expecting big things from himself

The first two seasons of Vikings running back Dalvin Cook’s career haven’t been ideal.

Cook got off to a promising start in his rookie season, running for more than 350 yards in four weeks. Then he tore his ACL and his season was over.

In 2018, he missed five games due to a hamstring injury and he never really looked like himself, running for 615 yards and two touchdowns in 11 games.

Now, fully healthy and an offseason he can dedicate to getting better instead of rehabbing, Cook feels like big things are coming for him.

“I feel like the ceiling is real high for me,” Cook said via the Pioneer Press. “Everything I want is still in front of me. Everything I can do is still in front of me. I’m capable of doing a lot of things. I still haven’t scratched the surface yet.”

The moves the Vikings have made this offseason with hiring offensive coordinator Kevin Stefanski and offensive advisor Gary Kubiak should enable Cook to find more success. If he can stay healthy, we could be looking at a monster year from the former second-round pick.
