Vikings rank near bottom in under-25 team rankings

The folks over at ESPN ranked the teams in the NFL based on their roster of players under the age of 25 years old.

The Vikings rank 28th on the list after ranking eighth last season. That’s what happens when wide receiver Stefon Diggs and guard Pat Elflein turn 25 years old.

The only notable players under 25 on the Vikings current roster are tackle Brian O’Neill, defensive end Danielle Hunter, running back Dalvin Cook and center Garrett Bradbury. Don’t sleep on last year’s first-round pick Mike Hughes, either, as he recovers from a torn ACL last season.

What does this ranking mean?

Not really a whole lot considering the Vikings are going for it now, and normally when you’re going for it, you don’t have a lot of players under 25 on your roster.

The future does have some talent on it, though, with Bradbury and tight Irv Smith Jr. looking like two big pieces of the future for this Vikings offense.
