It’s been well-documented that it hasn’t been an ideal offseason for the Vikings, although with their cap situation and a disgruntled receiver, they didn’t really have much of a choice with some moves.
In Sports Illustrated’s pre-draft power rankings, the Vikings rank 14th in the league, despite being one of eight teams remaining in last year’s playoffs.

They extended Kirk Cousins, but the identity of the Vikings under Mike Zimmer has been their defense, and there were extensive losses on that side of the ball this offseason. The Vikings’ top three corners are now gone, as well as Everson Griffen and Stephen Weatherly on the defensive line.
