Preseason gambling! What fun!
The Vikings open up preseason on Friday, Aug. 8 against the Saints in New Orleans.
Per Sportsbook.com, the Vikings are 3-point underdogs in the game. A -3 bet on the Saints pays out even, while a +3 Vikings bet pays out at -120.
As far as straight moneyline goes, the Vikings are at +125, while the Saints are at -145.
The over/under for the game is at 37. A bet on either side of that pays out at -110.
Why are the Saints the favorites? Probably because the game is in New Orleans.
Week 1 of the preseason won’t be one in which we see a lot of the starters.
I’d be surprised if we see the starters for more than a series or two.
For Vikings fans, it will be fun to see Teddy Bridgewater get some reps. Bridgewater enters his second season as Drew Brees’ backup.
Both teams were 3-1 in preseason play last season.
