Here we are, a few days out from the start of the 2019 NFL season.
Dan Hanzus from NFL.com gave us his updated power rankings entering the NFL season. The Vikings jumped up a spot from 13 to 12.
Here’s a snippet of what Hanzus wrote about the Vikings:
If the Vikings get improved offensive line play, they have the potential to field a top-five offense this season. Top three if you’re feeling frisky. No. 1 if you’re fearless. Skollllllllll.
The reason why the Vikings moved up a spot is because the Colts fell from No. 5 to No. 19.
To round out the NFC North, the Bears rank sixth, the Packers rank 14th and the Lions rank 26th.
The Vikings will get their first test of the 2019 regular season on Sunday as they host Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons. The Vikings are four-point favorites.
For what it’s worth, Hanzus has the Falcons ranked 16th in his power rankings.
