Eric Kendricks isn’t the kind of linebacker that is going to pick up double-digit sacks.
However, Kendricks is a solid fit for the Vikings defense, serving as a linebacker that is effective in pass coverage and in stopping the run.
Kendricks has picked up plenty of accolades in his NFL career with Minnesota so far. He was named an All-Pro in 2019. Pro Football Focus named him the Vikings’ most-improved player.
On Sunday, Kendricks added yet another award. The Vikings linebacker was ranked as the 83rd top player on NFL Network’s Top 100. Kendricks made his debut on the countdown, as pointed out by NFL Network.
Kendricks and Anthony Barr have been the mainstay linebackers in the Vikings nickel defense as of late. The position beyond those two on the depth chart will be interesting, with linebackers such as Eric Wilson, Troy Dye and Ben Gedeon competing for spots.
