So far in 2019, Vikings kicker Dan Bailey has been solid.
He’s coming off a week in which he was a perfect 4-for-4 on field goals and 2-for-2 on extra points.
His performance earned him the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week for Week 5.
It’s the fourth time Bailey has won the award, and the first with the Vikings.
It’s the 19th time a Viking has been named a Player of the Week under head coach Mike Zimmer and just the third time for a kicker.
On the season, Bailey is 7-for-8 on field goals and 11-for-12 on extra points.
Obviously the kicker position hasn’t been great over the years for the Vikings, but at least early in 2019, there seems to be some consistency with Bailey.
