Vikings hope Stefon Diggs has fixed fumbling problems

It’s been a solid season for Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs.

He’s on pace for a career high in yards and has had 100 or more yards in four of the last five weeks.

One negative, however, has been that Diggs has put the ball on the ground. Through eight games, Diggs has already fumbled four times.

It’s something that the Vikings are focusing on, and hope they have corrected it.

“I think we’ve addressed anything that we’re falling short on offensively, individually, collectively,” Vikings offensive coordinator Kevin Stefanski said Thursday. “I think what was nice about this last week, we have eight games under our belt, we could address things like that. So certainly, Stefon (Diggs) knows that that’s something that can’t happen and I think it just goes back to a technique, an awareness. I will tell you, we’ve addressed it so we’ve identified it and he’s well on his way to correcting it.”

If you watch the games, it’s not too hard to identify the problem. Diggs holds the ball out like a hot potato and a defender comes from behind and strips the ball.

While the Vikings are on a hot streak, having won four-straight, these are the types of mistakes that catch up to teams.
